REVIEW

 HORROR MOVIES FRANCHISES

Horror movies are one of the most important genres of human history and it gives us so much entertainment and makes our minds float with the plot twists who are in there, but sometimes it gets really predictable, in some cases like in franchises horror movies who always is the same villain, with  almost the same main idea, it’s a bad guy or “monster” trying to kill someone for revenge or fun and in the end always the bad guys lose and the others are heroes. Here i'm giving you some examples:

Child's Play

Child’s play is an American horror franchise that comprises eight slasher films created by Don Mancini. The films mainly focus on Chucky a serial killer who use voodoo to transfer his soul into a doll called “good guys”. This franchise starts in November 9 1988 and it looks like they don’t wanna stop, they gave us a remake who was released June 21, 2019 and it’s pretty much the same, nothing in the script changes it’s just a doll who likes killing people. One of the most weird movies was when he had a girlfriend who also loves kill people and suddenly they have a child! They just try to change the monotony but it wasn’t a really huge modification.

A Nightmare on Elm Street

A Nightmare on Elm Street is an American horror franchise that consists of nine slasher films, a television series, novels, and comic books. It was created by Wes Craven and was released in november 26, 1984. The story is all about Freddy Krueger, a former child killer who after being burned alive by the vengeful parents of his victims, returns from the grave to terrorize and kill the teenagers in their dreams. This movies gave us a lot of mixed feelings as fright, agitation even can make you feel worry about the characters. Those are really good movies until certain point maybe 3 or 4 movies because late it gets really repetitive, they didn’t need so much movies, with 4 it was just right. For me the genious part of this movie is the song about Freddy Krueger and here it is:

Saw

Saw is an American horror franchise created by James Wan and Leigh Whannell. The first movie was released on October 29, 2004 and after this each film was released subsequently every October, on the Friday before Halloween, between 2004 and 2010. The main story is about John Kramer, also called the "Jigsaw Killer" who instead of  killing his victims outright, Kramer traps them in situations that he calls "tests" or "games" to test their will to live through physical or psychological torture and believes that if they survive, they will be "rehabilitated". Most of his victims are people who need to regret of the bad things that they do or just to do, the majority is in the ”game” for revenge. The first 3 movies were pretty good with the story and the characters even the scene makes you feel really scare and maybe makes you feel the fear of the people in those places, but what is the problem? The same problem as others, they didn´t know when stop! They just forced the script and makes  weird things in the story. The good thing about this movie is this terrorific doll:
